French Runner Beans

1 kg fresh french beans or 800g if deep frozen

1/3 cup butter

salt and pepper

If you are using fresh beans remove the tips, soak in water for 10 minutes, rinse dry. Boil in plenty of water or steam. If you are using deep frozen French beans then follow the instructions on the package. When they arecooked but still firm drain them and rinse them in cold water to stop the cooking. Melt the butter in a large frying pan, pour in the french beans and cook for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
